Abstract Objective：To summary the nursing experience of BiPAP ventilator in the treatment of patients withrespiratory failure. Method：To retrospective analyze the whole process of BiPAP ventilator in the treatment of 82 patientswith COPD and type Ⅱ respiratory failure from 2011 to 2013.Result：67 patients were cured，15 cases were changedto racheal intubation，11 cases of them were recovered after extubation， 4 cases were undergone tracheotomy， and diedbecause ofpneumothorax or critical condition. Conclusion： Non-invasive ventilation has increased year by year ， thesuccess rate is rising gradually.Correctly grasp the adaptations and operating procedures， strictly monitor and preventcomplications， good nursing of pre-treatment， during and post-treatment ， all these are very important to use BiPAPventilator successfully.
