Abstract MicroRNAs was seen to play a role in a variety of cancer occurrence and development and a series of biological process as post transcriptional regulation. So far, many studies suggest that the expression of miRNA in various of tumors are different, disorganized miRNAs expressed by acting oncogenes or tumor suppressor genes roles, involved in tumorigenesis, development, invasion and metastasis. In addition, the existence of single nucleotide polymorphism of the miRNAs plays a significant effect in its function, and is closely related to the cancer risk and progress of tumor cells. This article sums up the recent reports, both internal and external, in research on miRNA-149 in human carcinomas.
