													     		                            						                            																	    Abstract  Objective:To investigate the gastroscopic and pathological characteristics of huge stomach ulcer,and make a guideline for the clinic.Method:A retrospective analysis on 108 patients diagnosed huge stomach ulcer fromJanuary 2007 to December 2013 were done.Result:Of all the 108 patients,44 were benign and 64 were malignant.Amongthe benign ulcer,the diameter of 86.36%(38/44) were in 3-3.5 cm,and 13.64%(6/44) were bigger than 3.5 cm.Andamong the malignant ulcer,the diameter of 31.25%(20/64) were in 3-3.5 cm, and 68.75%(44/64) were bigger than3.5 cm.For the infection of Hp(helicobacter pylori),the infection ratio of benign ulcer was 59.09% while the malignantulcer was 84.38%.Most of the patients were over 40 years old.Conclusion:Most of the stomach ulcer were malignant withHP infection,digestive symptoms,and the patients’ age were over 40.These patients had a greater potency of having a 
history of alcohol abuse or family history of cancer.For the patients who were infected by Hp,a gastroscopy is necessary forearly diagnose.
