Abstract Objective:To research the difference in nursing effect between the high-frequency electric scissors in the lateral episiotomy cutting and the special tools of conventional lateral shear.Method:226 lying-in women who came to our hospital for natural childbirth were selected from April 2014 to April 2015 and divided into group A and group B,113 cases in each group.The patients in group A were given episiotomy nursing with high-frequency electric scissors while that of group B were given episiotomy nursing with traditional scalpel.The surgical instruments were compared in their influence on nursing effect.Result:In group A,degree Ⅰ perineal trauma of 98 patients,degree Ⅱ perineal trauma of 15 patients;in group B,degree Ⅰ perineal trauma of 86 patients,degree Ⅱ perineal trauma of 27 patients,no patients got injure more than degree Ⅲ,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In group A,102 patients were mild postoperative pain and 11 patients were moderate postoperative pain;in group B,80 patients were mild postoperative pain and 33 patients were moderate postoperative pain,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:High-frequency electric scissor is more suitable for lateral episiotomy cutting.
