| Observation on Clinical Efficacy of Tympanostomy Tube Insertion Combined with Adenoidectomy in the Treatment of Children with Secretory Otitis Media |

Abstract Objective：To investigate the clinical effects of tympanostomy tube insertion combined with adenoidectomy for children with secretory otitis media.Method：110 cases of children with secretory otitis media in our hospital from January 2011 to January 2014 were randomly divided into the research group and the control group，55 cases in each group.The research group was treated with tympanostomy tube insertion combined with adenoidectomy.The control group was treated with tympanostomy tube insertion.The changes in hearing，middle ear effusion time，total effective rate，complications and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups.Result：The hearing ability of the two groups improved，the improvement degree of the research group was better than that of the control group（P<0.01）.Middle ear effusion time，total effective rate，complications and recurrence rate of the research group were significantly better than those of the control group（P<0.05）.Conclusion：Tympanostomy tube insertion combined with adenoidectomy for children with secretory otitis media has exact effect.It can effectively improve the hearing and reduce related complications.It’s worthy of clinical application.
