Abstract Objective:To investigate the effect of hyperbaric oxygen combined with acupuncture therapy for cerebral infarction in patients with functional recovery.Method:260 patients with cerebral infarction were selected in the first people’s hospital of Zhaoqing. The patients were combined with the acupuncture group and randomly divided into acupuncture group and combined group,130 cases in each group, all patients were treated routine symptomatic and supportive treatment. Acupuncture group was treated acupuncture treatment, combined group based on the acupuncture group was combined with the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the efficacy of two groups’ patients, neurological deficits( NIHSS) score, Fugl-Meyer( FMA) and improved motor function score barthel( BI) index score were compared.Result: The combined group: basic cured 42 cases, 57 cases of significant progress, progress in 25 cases. Acupuncture group: basic cured 31 cases, 45 cases of significant progress, progress in 24 cases. The combined group was significantly better than the acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);on therapy 10 d、20 d and 30 d,the combined group of NIHSS scores were significantly lower than the acupuncture group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01);the combined group of FMA scores and were BI scores significantly higher than the acupuncture group on the 10 d、20 d and 30 d,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01) Conclusion:Hyperbaric oxygen combined with acupuncture may improve cerebral circulation and better conditions, improve the prognosis of patients with cerebral infarction and improve nerve function, motor function status.
